This page explains what data Dojo collects and why.

We use data to run the app, support accounts, process purchases, and improve reliability.

We do not use Dojo as medical care.

• Account data: used to identify your account and provide support.
• Usage data: used to improve the app and fix problems.
• Payment data: handled by app stores or payment providers.
• Support messages: used to answer the request you send us.
• Email: used to sign you in, send account notices and, if you have not opted out, occasional emails about Dojo. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Advertising measurement: if you allow tracking, we share a scrambled (hashed) version of your email and your advertising ID with AppsFlyer and Meta to measure which ads bring people to Dojo. If you don't allow tracking, we don't share your email or advertising ID. Limited technical data (IP address and an app-specific device ID) is still used for aggregated ad measurement.
• Health data: never used for advertising and never shared with advertising partners.

This Privacy Policy describes how Medidojo Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Dojo: Master Meditation mobile application and the website located at https://medidojo.com (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Definitions

Account: A unique account created for you to access our Service.

Company: Medidojo Inc., a Delaware corporation based in California, United States.

Application: Dojo: Master Meditation, the mobile software application provided by the Company.

Device: Any device capable of accessing the Service, including a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Personal Data: Information that identifies or can be used to identify an individual.

Usage Data: Information collected automatically through use of the Service.

Service Providers: Third-party companies or individuals who process data on our behalf to support the Service.

2. Information we collect

Personal Data

We may collect the following information:

• Email address
• Account login information
• Information you provide when contacting us
• Payment and subscription status (processed via third-party providers)
• Your name, if you share it through Sign in with Apple or Google
• Messages you write to Sensei, our in-app guide

We do not store full credit card information. Payments are processed securely through app stores or third-party payment processors.

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain technical data, including:

• IP address
• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Pages or screens viewed
• Time spent in the app
• Diagnostic and crash data

When accessed via mobile device, we may collect:

• Mobile device unique ID
• Mobile operating system
• Device identifiers
• Interaction and usage analytics
• An app-specific device identifier (IDFV)
• Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking
• Information about the ad or link that led you to install Dojo

3. Health and biometric data

If you connect Apple Health or a wearable device, Dojo may read heart rate and heart rate variability to personalise sessions and show your results.

This data:

• Is accessed only with your permission
• Is used to provide and improve the app, including summary statistics in our analytics tools
• May be used in de-identified, aggregated form for research we publish (for example, our State of Meditation report). Published research never identifies you.
• Is never sold and never used for advertising

We do not share health information, including whether you connected Apple Health or a heart-rate device, or your onboarding answers about sleep, stress or emotions, with advertising or attribution partners.

You can revoke access at any time in your device's Health or Bluetooth settings.

4. How we use your information

We use Personal Data to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Manage user accounts
• Personalize meditation sessions
• Process subscriptions
• Improve product performance and user experience
• Analyze usage trends
• Communicate updates, security notices, or support responses
• Send you emails about Dojo features, practice tips and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
• Comply with legal obligations

We may also use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and product improvement.

5. Sharing of information

We share information with the following service providers, only as needed for the purposes listed:

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and our agreements with it. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models under its standard API terms.

We may also share information:

• For legal compliance: if required by law, court order, or government request
• In business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

We do not sell your Personal Data.

5A. Advertising measurement and tracking

We advertise Dojo on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To understand which ads work, we use AppsFlyer, a mobile measurement company, which shares results with the ad platform.

If you allow tracking (the iOS “Allow Tracking” prompt), we and AppsFlyer may share with Meta:

• Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA)
• A hashed (SHA-256) version of the email address on your account. Hashing turns your email into a scrambled code. Meta can match it only to an account that already uses the same email, and does not receive your email in readable form. We never share Apple “Hide My Email” relay addresses.
• Events such as installing the app, creating an account, starting a trial and subscribing

Meta uses this to measure and improve ad performance, under its own terms and privacy policy.

If you don't allow tracking, we do not share your email or advertising ID. AppsFlyer may still share your IP address, an app-specific device ID and app events with Meta so that Meta can report ad results in aggregated form (Meta's Aggregated Event Measurement).

Your choices:

• Turn tracking off at any time: iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Dojo. This stops sharing of your advertising ID and hashed email from then on.
• Delete your account in the app or by emailing support@medidojo.com. We will also ask our partners to delete data linked to it where they support deletion.
• Email support@medidojo.com with any request about advertising data.

Some US state privacy laws treat sharing data for advertising as “sharing” or “targeted advertising.” You can opt out of it with the iOS tracking setting above or by emailing support@medidojo.com with the subject “Do not share.”

6. Data retention

We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Service
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes
• Enforce agreements

Usage Data may be retained for internal analytics and security purposes.

7. Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your Personal Data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request data portability
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time
• Opt out of advertising measurement as described in section 5A

You may request deletion by contacting us or using in-app account settings if available.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our Service Providers operate.

By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

11. Third-party links

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

12. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
